How to uninstall Microsoft Edge from your beloved Windows 10 forever
I know, I was long gone from here. But I was going through a lot. Unable to keep up here. Now I have again decided to start the writing and do not stop again. Enough story, let's dive into the business…
People like me always get frustrated when we open any hyperlink or perform any task and it pops up in Microsoft Edge.
But they don’t like it and wish that Microsoft Edge should be gone for good. Because we all love to use google chrome so much.
I was also suffering from the same maniac. Then I did some research and found easy ways to do it. If you will go to the apps & features and check to uninstall the Microsoft Edge it won’t allow you. So follow any of these two ideas to get rid of Microsoft Edge.
Idea 1
Install the Microsoft Edge manually, then check in “Apps & features”. You should have the uninstall button enabled now. Simply just uninstall it.
If you are a little lazy like me to go to any website and download the software and uninstall it. Then I have Idea 2 for you.
Idea 2
step1: Open your command prompt as Administrator.
stpe2: type the following command in the command prompt.
cd %PROGRAMFILES(X86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application
step3: type dir to list the contents in the Application folder. and Look for an IP address. The output should look like shown below
dir
step4: type cd and initial or IP address like “cd 91” in my case and click on the Tab button on your keyboard for auto-complete if you are lazy like me. Otherwise, you can type the whole IP address.
cd 91.0.864.64
step5: now run these two commands two finally remove the Mircosoft Edge forever.
cd Installer
setup — uninstall — force-uninstall — system-level
Congratulations to you mate for finally uninstalling the Microsoft Edge from your Windows 10. You can search for it but it won’t come again.
